Hi Bob,
Just thought I’d drop a note to say “Hi!” My sister and I completed the Great Loop last summer in a 16-foot aluminum Duroboat. I look forward to reading more on your blog

Bob, I know you and Mavis have been together a long time but after considering the 23B, I have to wonder if upon return home you don’t move to different cities for a week !? What’s the secret?
Wow! After reading how many hours you’ve cruised in your 36′ boat, I feel embarassed to say that we have a 34′ trunkhouse trawler and want to get something bigger to cruise the loop on! We just feel the salon doesn’t have enough sitting around room on it, and I know there’s lots of sitting around. I love the idea of the Florida loop you described. We hail from East Coast Florida and think we might try that loop!
And I now see that the Florida loop wasn’t done by water, but by land in your RV! I guess the 17mpg should have been my first clue.

You can read about our Florida boating loop under the tab Cruising>Great Loop Leg 1 and Leg 2. We got around 2.6 mpg on that trip.
